Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, January 20, 2010 - It was announced during the Winter Board Meeting of the Progressive National Baptist Convention that Pastor Robert Earl Houston, Sr. has been selected to serve as the Webmaster for the PNBC effective immediately.

Pastor Houston, senior pastor of The First Baptist Church in Frankfort, KY, recently united with the PNBC after holding memberships in all four traditional baptist conventions, two mostly-anglo conventions, and the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowships. Most recently he completed several terms as Webmaster for the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America.

Pastor Houston is one of the catalysts for encouraging a black church presence on the internet. He has had a presence on the web since the 1990s and has received numerous commendations and awards for his efforts.

He will report directly to the General Secretary’s office and the new PNBC web site will go live on February 1, 2010.
